Most common questions
Are you a good magician?
I am one of the few Finnish magicians who make a full-time living by performing magic. Additionally, I have won several gold medals in industry competitions. Do you also perform for children?
My shows are designed for a mature audience, aged 15 and above. However, this doesn’t mean that younger family members can’t enjoy the performance as well.
Where do you live and how much your gigs usually cost?
I live in Tampere, Finland, and perform all around world. The price of a show depends on various factors, such as the content of the performance, the nature of the event, and the location. If you are organizing an event and are concerned about the cost, don’t hesitate to request a quote – asking costs nothing.
Do you embarrass assistants, use profanity, or tell inappropriate jokes?
No. I may occasionally make light-hearted comments based on something funny an assistant says or does for the sake of situational comedy, but I never intentionally embarrass anyone. I am a sophisticated gentleman who behaves appropriately at all types of events. Representing my clients with dignity is a matter of great importance to me.
Do you also perform in English?
Yes, I also perform in English. International audiences can enjoy my shows just as much as domestic ones.
Performances and gigs
Where have you performed?
I have performed for a wide range of clients, from international corporations to private individuals. In addition to performing in Finland, my magic has taken me to various exotic locations, from European magician clubs to the jungles of Africa.
What kind of events are your performances suitable for?
My performances are suitable for almost any kind of event because my programs are highly adaptable to the client’s needs and the nature of the occasion.
To what extent does the audience get to participate in the tricks?
My psychological magic is highly interactive, involving one or more assistants in every act. Assistants for my routines are chosen naturally as the performance progresses.
Can I see your performance in advance?
My performance cannot be viewed in advance. Since each show is a unique experience, no two performances are ever the same.
Payment and cancellation policie
How is the performance paid for?
Payment for the performance is made after the show has taken place, except for performances outside of Finland.
You can pay the performance by invoice, cash, or even with a bank card. The usual payment term for the invoice is 14 days, but payment terms can be negotiated separately.
What are your cancellation policies?
I follow the general cancellation policies of the Finnish event industry. Client can cancel the performance without any charges up to 30 days before the agreed date. If the client cancels the performance later, the artist is entitled to the performance fee, even if the performance does not take place.
As an artist, I have never canceled a scheduled performance myself. In those extremely rare situations where I am unable to perform due to illness, I promise to arrange a suitable replacement artist using my extensive network in the event industry.
Technique
Do you bring your own sound system?
If the event location is in Finland and the venue does not have its own sound system, I can provide sound equipment for events with up to 150 people. For larger events and international performances, the sound system will be arranged as per the agreement.

How do I welcome mentalmagician to the venue?
Before the performance day, I provide my clients with a comprehensive information package that includes all the essential practical details regarding my performance. This ensures that you know exactly what to expect and how to prepare, ensuring the show goes as smoothly as possible.
